About The E90+  Spare Tire:

The BMW E90+ Spare Tire consists of the following: Wheel (Genuine BMW) & Tire (Maxxis T145/70-17). This spare can be used either in the front or the rear.

Why Get a spare tire from Bimmerzone?

At Bimmerzone, we use only Genuine BMW wheels for the spare tire that we offer in contrast to many of our competitors. Now one may ask is it necessary to get a BMW spare tire? Yes! The 3 Series E90+ does not automatically come with a spare tire from the factory and you have to depend on run-flat tires. Whether you are planning to keep or ditch the run-flats, its still super important to have a spare tire as the run-flats may not hold up in more severe punctures and thus leaving you stranded by the side of the road.

What is included?

The BMW E90+ 3 Series Spare Tire includes the tire mounted on a Genuine BMW wheel and is ready to use. If you need the optional jack kit / tire tote, please see below.

 What is optional?

When ordering the spare tire, you have the option to add an aftermarket BMW jack kit, this kit includes the jack, jack handle, lug wrench and comes in a storage bag to keep things neat. You also have the option to add a tire tote to spruce up the appearance of your spare tire and also use the tire tote to store the damaged tire after the tire change.

FAQ

Why Get a spare tire?
Many BMW owners dread the run flat tires that come with the car, while its a no brainer to ditch the run flats and get regular tires, you run into the issue of not having a spare tire. Get the spare and move to regular tires without the thought of driving without a spare.

How fast can I drive?
The tire manufacturer recommends that you do not exceed 50 Mph at any time.

How far can I drive?
While the tire manufacturer does not give a specific distance, it is recommended that its use to get you home or the nearby tire shop. The space tire is not meant for prolonged driving.

The wheels on my car are 16" (18" or 19"), yours spare tire is 17"?
This is also one of the most common questions. Many get confused with the rim size and outer diameter. The space tires we sell matches the outer diameter of the tires on your car (so your car will not ride lob-sided). Of course there is a certain minimum wheel size to clear your brakes, we have determined this in our testing.

Where do I store the Spare Tire in my BMW?
Since BMW did not create a storage space to store a spare tire under the trunk floor, most of our customers tie it down with a ratchet strap to the D-rings on the trunk floor. This will take up minimal space.

Disclaimer:
The purpose of this spare tire kit is SOLELY to get you out of a bad area (traffic, security) and NOT for any prolonged driving. It is highly recommended that you strap it down while in your trunk. By purchasing this spare tire kit, you acknowledge this statement. While we have test fitted this on a stock BMW model of your application, its always advisable that you do test it on yours just in case any modifications were done to the car prior. If in doubt, do not hesitate to contact us.
